I've been in my town all of my life. It's a nice place to live. The Berkshires is a wonderful place to raise your children. There is a Mass. MOCA in town which is looking great. The whole town is great! I welcome letters. You may write me in care of The International Poetry Hall of Fame, 1 Poetry Plaza, Owings Mills, MD 21117.

Old Ironsides

Old Ironsides sails the open sea again,
As the Blue Angels fly over the vessel,
And Commander Michael Beck poses on its deck,
The USS Constitution,

The tallest of the tall ships any where,
Sail off the coast of Marblehead,
On its 200th birthday,
We can just hear The Eighteen Twelve Overture,
From the shore of Marblehead,

It was a beautiful sight to see,
I had tears coming down my face,
As the great two hundred and three-foot-long ship,
Sailed out of view, the twenty-first,
Of July Nineteen Hundred and Ninety-Seven.

Side By Side

Now as the day goes on,
I see Mother Teresa,
And Princess Diana,
Walk side by side,

In heaven helping people along the way,
I know that's what Diana,
Liked
Walking side by side,

The both of them along the way,
And now they are,

Together,
For all times,
It seems like,
Mother Teresa,
Wanted to be up there,
With Diana.

A Stewart Film

I'd love to see a Jimmy Stewart movie,
All those he made from year to year,
He was a nice person,
A great guy,

In or out of a movie,
When the TV had a week of Stewart films,
I was there in front of the TV,
All week long,

The Jimmy Stewart name,
Was the sign of a wholesome film,
If I went to rent a video,
It was a Stewart film,

We'll all miss the guy,
That starred in
It's a Wonderful Life,
Jimmy Stewart,
A man of many faces.
