Ryan Petrilli was born in Wilmington, Delaware. He began writing poetry when he was fourteen. He currently resides in Charlotte, NC, and continues to write when work doesn't consume the majority of his day. He also enjoys the outdoors: hiking, traveling, skiing, and landscaping. Ryan is an avid songwriter and has had over a dozen songs recorded, plus he has received recognition for his achievements in both songwriting and poetry; he has also been published in numerous anthologies. Ryan says, "I write from my heart, for it will see and feel more than my eyes and hands ever will."

Unity of two souls that were destined,
Bound by daily steps bringing you

You became the world to us today
Life's subtle little blessing brought by birth,

I saw her in the beautiful garden
By the purple pansies and red roses.
The moment was a masterpiece back then,
And I was living in the new ages.

Now, we take our magic through every day
In hand as our hearts are beating as one.
I never thought I'd ever feel this way
Till her blue eyes melted me like the sun.

Tomorrow we will live in pure romance
As things we have in common make it right.
Laughing together - going on a chance,
The smiles we share gives out a new-found light.
