Ruth has been writing poetry for 65 years. She is retired and
disabled but very determined. She is a member of Red Lion Bible Church
where she taught impaired adults for ten years.
Her work has been published in numerous newspapers, The 1989 Golden Treasury of Great Poems, 1991 Who's Who in Poetry, Dance on the Horizon, 1994, Best Poems of 1995 and 1997. Ruth now creates her own inspirational greeting cards of sympathy, encouragement, etc. She lives by this rule: "Never lift your pen until you talk it over with the Lord." |
Sweet PeaceThank you LordFor sparing me pain And reminding me, in your care to remain. Thank you Lord For eighty two years Memories of laughter, mixed with tears. Thank you Lord For prayers and song That paved the way (so very long!) Thank you Lord For earthly release - quality of life gone But now - sweet peace! |
Give Us One More Law!There are laws, and laws, andlaws- They make your head just swim. Some are good, and some are bad- A legislative whim! Let us all remember, back in the good old days- We spend less time and cash And still had means and ways! We go deeper in debt- with every new chore Assets become much less, Liabilities soar! Is there a remedy? Just take a good long look. Don't spend what you don't have! Add this law to the book! |
So What!?SO what if you are 80 and legally blind: but still see shapes &shadows if the light is kind. So what if to hear you must wear a hearing aid:

on the many tasks
So what can I do that many others can not: I can
