Sweet Peace

Thank you Lord
For sparing me pain
And reminding me, in your care to remain.
Thank you Lord
For eighty two years
Memories of laughter, mixed with tears.
Thank you Lord
For prayers and song
That paved the way (so very long!)
Thank you Lord
For earthly release - quality of life gone
But now - sweet peace!

Give Us One More Law!

There are laws, and laws, and
laws-
They make your head just
swim.
Some are good, and some are
bad-
A legislative whim!
Let us all remember,
back in the good old days-
We spend less time and cash
And still had means and ways!
We go deeper in debt-
with every new chore
Assets become much less,
Liabilities soar!
Is there a remedy?
Just take a good long look.
Don't spend what you don't
have!
Add this law to the book!

So What!?

SO what if you are 80 and legally blind:  but still see shapes &
shadows if the light is kind.

So what if to hear you must wear a hearing aid:  you are wheelchair
bound but still do not need a maid.

So what if there are barriers along the way:  dwell on the many tasks
you do perform each day.

So what can I do that many others can not:  I can say Lord give me
strengths whatever my lot.

I have no problems, I turn them over to Him:  He strengthens me when
I fall down and all seems dim.

So what if your youth is gone and old age you meet:  time to tap old
memories and think what a treat.

So what if I do not measure up to your rules:  my goal in life is to
become one of His jewels.
