O' beautiful for spacious skies is where all this began,
With spoken words of truth on who God shed his grace on thee,
Our country has been blessed in more ways than we can see,
If only we would allow our eyes and our heart to lead the way,
Instead no, ever since the beginning of time people have gone astray,
Is this right or is it wrong,
They just could not decide,
Their faith in God washed ashore,
As temptation became their guide,
Temptation of the wrong kind took over like a river without an end,
Envy, selfishness, hatred and wars became mans closest friend,
Now the questions of our future lies in our own hands,
Is this the way we choose to continue or do we take a personal stand,
We all know we are not perfect,
It wasn't intended that way,
Although each of us has plenty good to offer,
Like love, peace and caring,
Wash away the wrong and bring in the right,
Open those eyes, have it finally become clear,
Life's abundance of goodness is all around us,
For starters yourself,
Because its a blessing that you are here.

The gracious lady fought the last battle for life,
Sincerity and frankness will be remembered best,
As Jackie's body was laid to rest.

Depression
No outward sign for you to see,
I try acting as normal as one can be,
Desperation is my call,
Suddenly I've had enough of it all,
The tears, the moods, the ups and downs,
What is happening with me,
Leave me alone I say, let me be,
Everything gets to me this misery,
I must divert my thought on the good things when negativity pulls me down,
I must think positive and redesign my life,
Yes, this is what I must do,
Burying my head under covers is not the way for me or you,
I am aware this won't be easy,
It all takes some time,
But before you know it things will work out just fine.
