Bob has been writing poetry for 30 years.  He works in maintenance, has a wonderful sense of humor and is noted for his congeniality.  In addition to writing poetry and prose, Bob enjoys a variety of activities including working with computers, skiing, ballroom dancing (he's well known for his ability and enthusiasm), and also a variety of music from classical (his first love) to big band, and jazz.  He also had an article published in a dance magazine and says "always write about a subject you have passion for -- a spouse, a sport, a hobby -- and you'll always be recognized."

The Day

A sprinkle of red,
a dash of green,
a spray of blue
like you've never seen

A drop of black,
a splash of white,
and a swirl of brown
makes it a pretty sight.

Add some orange,
and some yellow.
Make it sharp
and not too mellow

Include some air
and water too
and sun, of course,
with morning dew.

Capture this
for hours on end.
Don't let it break
or even bend.

What you've got
someone might say,
is all the stuff
for a beautiful day.

A Love Memory

I don't remember what I was feeling that
exact second when I fell in love with you so
many years ago.
I don't know what I thought as I looked at
you for the very first time.
I do know that if it's anything like the feeling
I have right now, I want to keep on feeling it
forever.
I've always loved you.
I also know I will always be hopelessly and
wonderfully head over heels in love with you.
Maybe that is what that feeling at that exact
second so long ago was like.
My wife, my lover, my best friend.
I keep falling in love with you over and over
and over.
It's a great feeling and I like it.
I love you.
