Even the Weeds Have FlowersGod gave us a beautiful world,To care for and to love. To marvel at the miracles, Like rainbows from above. Of snowfalls on the mountains, Of brooks and running streams. Of moonlight helping lovers, To dream their precious dreams. Of flowers of every kind and hue, That only God could know. He wanted the world to be beautiful, Because he loves us so. Just standing here, surveying, All the beauty I call Eden. To hold it in my heart, A little piece of Heaven. He gave animals a world, So they could mate and flower. He also made the weeds to grow, But even the weeds have flowers. |
If IIf I but stop along the way,To lend a helping hand. Or say a word to let, Somebody know I understand. If I can dry somebodies tears, With a single little smile. Then I will know perhaps my life, Is a little bit worthwhile. If I but ease the ache, Of a lonely heart that's lost. Or help to lighten just a bit, Somebody elses Cross. If I can turn the grayest skies, A little bit more blue. If I can help somebody else, Maybe God will help me too. |
Forgotten ChristForgotten Christ, upon an Alter,Not upon a throne above. Alone, save for so few who enter, Bound a prisoner of love. Oh my Jesus, loving tender, Comfort me in my hour of need. Heal my broken heart, my Jesus, Please, I make my humble plea. Waiting for a weary traveler Seeking help or in distress. Please believe me Gentle Jesus, Bring me peace and give me rest. |
