Euthamania

Let's together take one minute,
one minute of silence,
for the dead and the dying.
For the poor and the exploited,
for the victims of all kind,
let's take one minute.
Isn't it time, if not to change,
at least to focus and,
to try and smooth relations out?
Isn't it time to think constructive,
and ban the evil in our mind?
Don't ever forget, Human race,
has not only a common origin,
but also a common destiny;
and participate in self-destruction is unwise.

Forgiveness

It is taught by the bible,
for centuries, encouraged by moral figures,
and yet, it has to be observed. . .
like it's human nature not to forgive.
So many times, we overslept and missed the train;
so many times, we closed our eyes and folded our arms;
so many times, we've butted into grounded stones;
so many times, we've been at fault ourself;
so many times, we've found excuses. . .
Yes. . ., a lot of times. . .
How many times, we've understood?
how many times, we've been sympathetic?
how many times, we've been fair?
how many times, we've been helpful?
how many times, we've said "we care"?
how many times, we've forgiven?
Oh. . . ! How many times?

My Country

In the heart of the Caribbean sea,
lays a Land of natural beauty,
living witness of a strong human hope,
where hundreds of miles of beaches,
a wide variety of tropical species,
plants, birds, fishes. . .
the diversified and very tasty creole cuisine,
the spiced local rum,
the hot beat of the "compas" rhythm,
the legendary conviviality of its people
make it a special place in everyone's heart,
a place, where every season,
brings a lot of occasions to celebrate,
and still a "pearl" to cherish: Haiti!
