Philip R. Garges Jr.

Vienna, Virginia, USA

Philip follows his grandfather and father as the third generation poet in his family. He feels writing poetry is something that he has a strong inner appreciation for. It is one way he can express his sincere feelings about life and its complications. Philip works in the food service business and is well known for his dedication toward hard work and good service. He is extremely well read with a particularly broad knowledge of anthropology. His basic philosophy is to respect people as individuals and not be concerned about their ethnic backgrounds.

The Human Shape

Racially pure European and Asian
men have straight hair growing
from their heads.
Some other men have hair that's
curly, growing from their heads.
But hair shape is not the shape that
really matters.
Because it's the shape of the human
forehead that makes you a man.
Rather than a chimpanzee.
Whether your skin color is white,
brown or bread-crust tan.

The Talking Animal

In order to make creation right,
in the beginning God said:
"Let there be light."
He said it like a man.
He didn't think it like a dog.
An animal that can speak is God-like.
The name of that animal is man.

Sex And Race

Sexual activity that goes all the way
makes a great number of babies with
different colors of skins
Anyone who speaks in favor of the many colors
of skins greatly wins.
Anyone who speaks against the many
colors of skins greatly sins.
Sex, like all of nature, was designed
and produced by a very talented artist.
The one who would dare to insult
such an artistic work
As the many different
colors of skins
Must have a brain
that is full of murk.
