Peter E. Evans was born in Ireland on July 10, 1918 to John F. and Bridget Elizabeth Evans. He married Pauline Rose Evans on June 1, 1950. They have one daughter, Patricia Evans Nuth. Peter's education includes: Suffolk University, Boston, 1950, AB; Catholic University, Washington DC, 1954, Masters in Social Work. He is now retired and he serves on the boards of several safety organizations. He is cofounder of Certified Hazard Control Managers and Certified Heathcare Safety Professionals. He is a past President of the National Safety Management Society and is listed in the "Who's Who" in veterans of safety. As for writing, he is the past editor of several safety management publications such as Certified Hazard Control Manager and currently serves on their Board of Directors.
