I started writing poetry in 1995 after a close friend showed me some of his work. I find it very relaxing and a nice way to express my feelings, especially when writing for family and friends. Besides writing poetry I also enjoy fishing, working out and outdoor sports. The best times in my life are spent with my wife Kathy, "who is everything in my world," and my two daughters, Alicia and Alanna "who share my heart."

"Kathy, I Love You"

When morning comes
and I roll over next to you,
a kiss on your lips
is the first thing I will do.

I will tell you I love you
and pull you as close as can be,
you are everything in my world
grow old with me.

You're my lover, my partner,
you are my best friend,
when I say you're everything
the list never ends.

When I hold your hand
or walk by your side
my feelings for you
I will never hide.

When the day is over
and it's time for bed,
can you count all the I love you's,
that were said.

A Fathers Love is Forever

With a hug and a kiss
I pick you up in the air
you're both in my arms
but its my heart that you share.

You're growing up so fast
all of the changes I see
every minute with you
becomes a special memory for me.

Even though we live apart
and there are certain things we must do
not a moment goes by
that I'm not thinking of you.

Until I see you again
know that you're on my mind
and that when we're together
I wish it could be all the time.

I'm sad when you leave
and happy when we're together
I'll always be there for you,
a fathers love is forever.
