Peggy has been writing poetry for a few years. She has been a licensed stylist, enjoys golfing, skiing and traveling. Her poetry has been published many times in the National Library of Poetry. She has published one collection of poetry titled "Life Gets Away", dedicated to her parents and brother. She was inspired to title her book after one of Clint Black's songs. Most of her poems are about life and its' passing. She says "enjoy life to the fullest and cherish the time we have." Truly, before you realize it "Life Gets Away" from us all. May all your love and losses make you stronger and gentler.

Life Gets Away

Seconds, minutes, hours
all gone
Days, months, years
disappear
Where does life start
Where does it end
Does this mean death is the
beginning or the end
Life Gets Away
Where has it gone

Brother

Brother, why were you chosen first
somehow it seem the worst
We had some good times and some bad
But you're the best friend I ever had
I can still see your face
Something tears can't erase
In my heart, I still feel the pain
Something years may refrain
I think of days growing up together
Something years cannot weather
I remember Mom always like you best
Something she's never confess
Life goes on now
Something's will never be the same
But I'll always remember you
You never changed

She

She gave me a tea cup
To remember her by
She gave me so much more
I can't deny
She showed power and strength
Courage and pride
She taught us something
We can all live by
With two small children, she'd never see grow up
It was why she never gave up
This must have been, her greatest pain
But you never heard her complain
And a husband that loved her dear
They shared each others tears and fears
She fought until her last day
I remember she just faded away
When God came and took her one day.
