I am a 27-year-old quadriplegic on a ventilator. I write poetry on my computer using Morse Code and a "sip and puff" device that goes in my mouth. I never thought my life would have any value, but God found a way to use my writing talent. I want to reach others with my poetry. My desire is for all to come to know Jesus Christ and live in the fullness of life which He provides. I thank God for what He's done for me and the special people He's brought into my life. I welcome letters in care of The International Poetry Hall of Fame, 1 Poetry Plaza, Owings Mills, MD 21117.

Freed

Christ came to set the captives free,
He died on the cross on a hill called Calvary.
When He said "It is finished," the work was done,
The bonds were broken and victory was won.
Christ ascended to the Father and the Comforter sent He,
To live in the hearts of you and me.
When days are long and there seems no end,
Remember the One who died for our sin.

Untitled

I had a dream last night.
i was walking all alone.
The I noticed the street
was made of pure gold.

Then I saw a blooming tree
beside a crystal lake.
The beauty I beheld
made a breath so hard to take.

Then I saw Cherubims
around my Savior's throne.
My heart rejoiced because I knew
I was finally home.

Then I ran toward Him,
and fell down at His feet.
I could not speak a word,
all I could do was weep.

And when I awoke I felt so sad,
for I wanted to return.
Then I heard my Saviors' voice,
He said, "My child, your job is not yet done."
