I was born 27 May 1943 in Stockton. I am a housewife and mother. My husband is Peter Caldwell. We have been married twenty-eight years. We have two sons, James Andrew and Jonathan Lee. Author of "Thoughts" published by Pentland Press 1992. Have had other individual poems published. Belong to the International Society of Poets. My poetry is thoughts that have come to me, when in need, simple words from the heart, thoughts from life. By sharing them, I hope to give the message of comfort and faith; faith in God.

Garden of Love

Great Beauty of earth,
GOD's gift.
Look, whichever way,
Colours of plants, trees,
magnolias in bloom,
some reaching down, touching the ground,
as if to embrace, nature.
Hear the bird's song,
Sound of water, rippling along,
Streams, rivers, valleys so deep.
Craggy rocks, outline,
against the sky.
Clouds roll by, over field of greeny browns.
Mist on hills afar.
What peace one cries.
That all could feel this peace.
"GOD'S LOVE TO ALL"

The Sea Gull

Looking seawards, dark clouds rolling by,
wind rustles, bushes, sweeping the grass,
as if by one, big hand,
surf breaks on the sand,
There, in the wind, surveying it all,
A one legged seagull stands.
One wonders, what in life,
has happened to thee,
There you stand, as strong as the rest,
looking about, surveying the land,
Then, on one leg, balanced,
takes off in flight,
Perfectly.
As ever the same, with grace and ease, fly's.
a lesson to all, perhaps,
too carry on, in life,
What e'er befalls.

Wonder Of All

Look at the sky
Feel the power of GOD
Look on all at the wonder,
And the wonder of all,
Feel the wind,
The touch of GOD,
Look in your heart and soul, And feel the love of GOD.
