I am an active church member and wife of a minister. I'm also a full-time grandmother of three, and currently writing two inspirational books. I wrote "Comforting Angel" after the tragic loss of one of three sons. The poem was proof-typed on the anniversary of our sons death. (A date we and only God knew). It was published by The National Library Of Poetry. I also have poems in "The Treasury of Famous Poems." I have received an "Award Of Appreciation"; been selected for "The Sound Of Poetry"; and received an "Editors Choice Award." The Lord is my strength, hope, and comfort. "To Him Be The Glory!" Comforting Angel

He enters my dreams---
Bright-lit smiles in the night.
One little darling
I once held tight.
He giggles and runs
Young footsteps I hear---
Then to pause and say, "I love you"
"Don't shed the tears."
"For in the secret garden,
And meadows so green,
Are the most beautiful things
I have ever seen."
And as the beauty surrounds him
He runs off again;
He says, "I'll see you"
But he doesn't say when.

Where Love Is Found

The garden of hope
Can be found -
Just past ---
The river of tears.
For where love is found
There hope is growing
Even beyond --
Our younger years.

God's Little Jewels

God's little jewels—These babes, one by one,
As they enter our world—
From the Father, the Son.
Their eyes look around us-But what do they see-
Guarding angels looking over—
The little darlings for thee.
With trusting eyes-This child looks into mine—
Will I be a reflection of God's love divine?
Or will I take the light - From little eyes I see,
Turn it to darkness, and fear, with cruelty!
This child who is placed within my care -
Will I take hold of his hand-as he reaches out—
For someone to be there.
And will I put a smile back upon her face,
The smile that this world is bound to erase!
Will I lead this child in prayer each day
And be thankful my life is blessed in this way?
Will I find time in this busy world that I know
To look in the eyes of this child as he grows,
For at times as his heart cries in pain—
It merely reflects on the eye's-light—a stain.
Will I see the light in her eyes shine bright
Or covered in pain as she cries in the night?
"GOD"S LITTLE JEWELS" sent from above,
To brighten my world - A daily touch of His love.
