Noline, who is retired, has been writing poetry since childhood, is a member of the International Writer's Workshop, New Zealand. Her poems have been published in writer's publications, New Zealand book of poems, American Poetry Association books, The National Library of Poetry, and newspapers. Noline has received The International Poet of Merit Award from The International Society of Poets, and two Editor's Choice Awards from the National Library of Poetry and placing in competition. Education was at Rama Rama and Turiwhiri primary schools, and Dargaville High School, New Zealand. Noline likes to jot down thoughts for future use in poems. |
Mother-Daughter LoveAmong the daisiessat the child, looking so ever meek and mild. Mother sat down by the child, looked at her daughter and sweetly smiled. Picking the daisies with the child, from those gathered a chain was stylized. Around the neck of the child, she placed the chain of daisies wild. Touching the daisies the deaf child, looked at her mother and sweetly smiled. |
SummerSummer means hours spentwith the grandchildren at Snells Beach seaside. Happy moments only lent and swimming when an incoming tide. With the sun to heat makes the sand hot for bare feet to tread. Sand and sea a treat we enjoy the lot before time for bed. |
