Anorexia hit me hard during my Cambridge Teaching degree, bulimia and harm its accomplice. Horses no longer numbed me enough. I began writing words, this was a key to my recovery. Proprint (Peterborough) published my books "A Trip Down Memory Lane" and "Cut the Apron Strings", the third is on it's way (I hope!)! Once a teacher, now a youth worker, I'm looking for a degree to compliment my experience to help others out. No eating disorders will stop me! "If it's what I want - I'll fight for it!" Fear is like a cloud, you can walk through it. |
Discovery of LoveLove who is she, I don't knowShe's the person in me, I never allowed to grow People tried to buy her, she shook her head and said I'm not for sale, People tried to touch her, she turned from pain, screaming and stamping - no she cried in vain I can live alone, her lip quivered, A tear of sadness fell, I can she shivered, But I need to find who love is and where she lives, To meet her friendship need, "Love" I whispered She appeared as a place where I can go She had a kinda' orangey glow, With calming pink and cleansing blues, Holding in her arms peace and trues, Energizing a tinge of excitement Not one winge of resentment Beginning in ones souls heart from whence she does depart, on her fulfilling journey of growth and creation, to a multitude of destinations, Whether a solo or duet is formed, She began deep within and spread her wings Through knowledge, nurture and kindness, To bloom to her upmost tranquillity In harmony with every rhyme and reason. |
Dream CatcherLife dreams zoom byLike flies in the sky they hover and weave dancing wildly thro' the air glimpsing at many sights investigating options then buzzing off, searching for more, until an inquisitive one, explores a little further, sneaks a little deeper TRAPPED in a sticky stretchy web it wriggles and wiggles it tustles and tastles thrushing itself deeper and deeper into a mesh stopping it hopes for free order yet when it dares look again it notices it's as a puppet on a string of a fine and silvery thread that prevents it indulging in a new life holding it while it rests encouraging it to reflect and strengthen upon all that is past so it can catch a dream and let it come true |
