CherishI was looking for you, I was waiting for you,When suddenly you came up to me, desiring to take me away Wanting to be near you, I stayed You came up to me, in your heart a place given to stay My heart is not free, I couldn't say - you sat beside me Your heart saying be mine. You asked my name I asked the time Much I didn't say, knowing I couldn't be thine My dream came true, you asked me to dine My heart! you came to me setting my heart free I was dreaming of the sanctuary you offered to me Desiring to be safely held in your arms kind and strong You took me home, I knew it wasn't wrong For the rest of your life, your wife you asked me to be Tenderly, you came up to me setting my heart free Desiring to stay in your loving arms my heart is yours to see You cherish my heart I'll live in your arms eternally My heart! you came to me setting my heart free. |
CherishMy mother, my fatherTwo words - my heart, my hope Like a warm breath of exhaled air hangs Suspended in the cold winter, Pleasant childhood memories of being with you Hangs suspended in my yearning mind. My mother, my father, as I grew into a young child You gave me spiritual security and taught me to smile. Let your guiding parental spirit silently listen To your beloved child's cry of spiritual despair. Gently hold me in the safety of your warm, loving arms Tenderly placing your strong protective arms around me. Again, gently, place your courageous heart in my languishing heart. Let your spirit silently speak to my heart's spiritual despair. Father, who lovingly cared for and sheltered me. Mother, who tenderly nursed, bathed and whispered loving praises to me. |
