Whimsical SF Christmas

Chestnuts roasting in an electric oven
Popcorn popping in the microwave
Packages of instant apple cider brews
Computer chips hung as ornaments
Kix cereal strung as garland beads around the tree
Futuristic metallic adorn the artificial tree
Hints of pine spray reminisce in the room
Xmas Rap music blaring from boom boxes
Choirs caroling up and down SF hills from motorized cable cars
Skyscrapers bedecked with golden lights
Machines creating artificial snow
Children ice skating in portable rinks at Union Square
Salvation Army volunteers in blue jeans soliciting to fill their pots
SPCA critters clawing up to adopters by the window
Homeless beings warming up by toxic steel drums of fire
Santa's electric van powered by recycled reindeer droppings
Red cream Oreos and tofu shakes await Santa by the dumb waiter
A toast and cheers to you with a glass of non-alcoholic beverage
Hope you have a real 'OLD FASHION' Xmas!!!

A New Day

At the awakening of dawn the Lark Meadow sings
Spring flowers with vibrant colors bloom
Bouquet of Hyacinth appease the air
Hues of blue buttercup melts in the Northern Rockies
With each new day my soul is laden for adventure
At each day's end another experience will be memoired
My gift is gracing the heart, soul and mind with words.
If reading this touch your spiritual being, I'm inspired
I love to smile at you for no reason other than transcending warmth to you
My mind alert, my visions clear, my ears keen, expand me with new amanuensis
Painted red skies at sunset, come resurrect a dim flame
