B.S. in business, College of Saint Elizabeth, Convent Station, N.J., 1986 Former employee of AT & T's Human Resources, currently unemployed. I am presently creating a compilation of poems, this book will be a memory of my mother. My first poem "Rainbow," a very personal inspiration, was a eulogy for my grandmother in 1987. Poetry is a very exclusive and specialized fashion of communicating. My poems are an inspiration from within. My only publication, to date, is with The National Library of Poetry. I enjoy reading, playing the piano and writing verse. Philosophical statement: "Life itself infuses the imagination and gives flight to poetry."

Sorry?

Did you by chance step on my toe?
You are not my foe
Unexpectedly close the door in my face?
I was in the wrong place
An incident, could not have been avoided
I understand your regretfulness
Sorry you say, you have my forgiveness.
Alas, one speaks one's mind
An obnoxious statement so unrefined
Rudely passed through your lips, do not rejoice
Of course you meant just what was voiced
Upon questioning, you stutteringly said
I'm sorry!
Sorry? After all is said and done
The despicable words were spoken
By a mealy mouthed, worthless cad
Who shows no remorse at all, that's bad
Do not be a sanctimonious fraud
Stand by your words or do not speak, at all
No gentlemen of eloquence those words would say
His rhetoric, would be polished any day
I'm sorry is a false excuse.

Watch The Butterfly

Your metamorphosis sleep is ended
Break out of your cocoon, so slow
Spread your bright-colored, delicate wings
Fly into the gentle winds that blow
This magical insect, reborn in beauty.
Fluttering here, there and everywhere
Feasting on nectar, the blossom gave
Sucking into your delicate feeding tube
The sweet substance you so crave
This magical insect, reborn in beauty
As transient as the clouds above
Traveling far and wide, in flight
Meandering to the mountain top
Using your own fragile might
This magical insect, reborn in beauty.
Watch the butterfly and remember
Your vulnerability and fragileness
We are not insignificant insects
Oh! Mortals of short-lived existence
Ye, can be reborn in beauty too.
