Eunice Birch

Sutton-On-Forest, York

I was born in Blackburn Lancashire in July 1940 and am a typical Cancerian. I juggled a teaching career in Leeds with raising 2 sons, Ashley and Justin, who, now married, have presented me with 4 "treasures", Dominique, Josephine, Aaron and Rheannon. In 1978, I moved to York and fostered Helen and her brother, Michael, for 12 years. Eventually we moved into a country village where I became postmistress and church pianist, until profound deafness took over. Now I spend my time with my ever patient husband Alan and our two rescued cocker spaniels. This quality time gives me the opportunity to express my thoughts on life and the world around us in poetry.
