I was born on the 23rd October 1963 here in Waihi Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. I am now a widow and my late husband, Cyril, were married for not quite 10 years. There was a 53 year age gap and we enjoyed each others companionship. We have a son Marjeat. I enjoy gardening , cooking, knitting and playing my flute. My poetry shows my feelings towards my late husband.

Thoughts of my Dear Cyril

As days and night fly by,
I ask myself "why, oh, why".
Why! did you have to leave me here all alone,
Her in this now lifeless home.

Without you my dearest one,
Where life is now without fun.
You cheered up my life,
With you being my husband and I being your wife.

I hope you are happy wherever you are,
And always be close to me and not so far.
Your heart will always be within mine,
Till my dying time.
