Merle has been writing poetry since her early teens. She is a sophomore
at Waiakea High School located in Hilo, Hawaii. Her goal later on in life
is to become a fashion designer of some punk rock band or a preschool teacher.
Like any normal teenager, she has her problems, friends, family and not
so bright ideas. Each of these she claims as her inspiration for her poetry.
Her pastimes consist of watching waves crash along the shoreline and scoping
out cute guys with her friends. During the summer she works at Keiki Kollege,
a preschool she used to attend.
