Mel has been writing poetry since May, 1997. He is a Law Enforcement Officer who works for the city of Brockton. He is a poet, songwriter, and singer. Mel has written a poem called "A POLICEMAN'S PRAYER" that will be unveiled in May, 2000: POLICE OFFICER WEEK at the BOSTON STATE HOUSE. Mel has had numerous write ups in local newspapers and by The National Library of Poetry. He also will write a book called "Glorious Days" in the near future. This book will be dedicated to Almighty God, to Mel's Mother, Father, family, and friends. Writing poetry has given me a tremendously positive uplift of my spiritual vision and gifts that come from the inner soul. |
