Mel has been writing poetry since May, 1997. He is a Law Enforcement Officer who works for the city of Brockton. He is a poet, songwriter, and singer. Mel has written a poem called "A POLICEMAN'S PRAYER" that will be unveiled in May, 2000: POLICE OFFICER WEEK at the BOSTON STATE HOUSE. Mel has had numerous write ups in local newspapers and by The National Library of Poetry. He also will write a book called "Glorious Days" in the near future. This book will be dedicated to Almighty God, to Mel's Mother, Father, family, and friends. Writing poetry has given me a tremendously positive uplift of my spiritual vision and gifts that come from the inner soul.

You're The Future

Kid's use your mind's
Don't fall behind......
You're the future.
Kids use your minds......
Lets take it one step at a time......
Don't break the rules......
Lets stay in school......
So that ys can,
Have a brighter future......
Kids use your minds......
Don't fall behind......
You're the future.
Knowledge is the power
And the key......
Use it to build a brighter future,
And to make a better world......
Don't give into negativity and
Stay away from drugs lets....
Stay drug free......
Kids use your minds......
Don't fall behind......
You're the future.

Rainbow Color

Flowers of coloration oh what rainbow colors
That are God that come from above that
Makes man and woman see God glory through nature's
Beauty. Oh flowers how they grow and move in motion
By the blown winds that move peacefully forming a
Woman desired mood how she looks at you.

A Move Of Heart

My contagious smile shows me.
With having love in my  heart its
Shows you numbers such a one.
Two. Three.  A move that will express and deliver a gift to you
From the postman.
