My life was in a turmoil at the early age of ten mos., I probably would have been a shell by now but I was rescued by my maternal grandmother. She is my legal guardian. I've been in her care legally for seven yrs.I remember her reading to me everyday, and by the time I entered pre-school I was sounding out words and reading "easy" books. Afterwards everything fell in perspective.I was on my way, first I developed "Self Esteem", I was interested in proper attire; brushed my teeth thoroughly; read every day; studied spelling words; tried very hard to write neat and clear; I love Math, so I practiced adding, dividing, myltiplying and I even tried to do fractions. My best learning experience was spelling, because my "Nana" taught me how to play with words making the words "rhyme". I begin to say words out loud; write words on paper and suddenly it dawned on me, "Why not arrange words making them "Rhyme". "Thus" my poetry writing begin people to love thy neighbor and be sure to thank "God" for their blessings. Instead of saying "I can't"... try saying "I can".I love smiling (Try It) smile and the world will smile with you.

This Mountain

I'll huff and I'll puff as I climb this mountain
When I reach the top, I'll find a fresh water fountain
It takes time and patience and lots of devotions
To overcome the obstacles of everyday emotions
Some days are happy and some days are sad
I'll keep looking up to Jesus and feel very glad
Being determined each day as we pray
Believing Jesus, is the only true way
Climbing the rough side of the mountain
The rocks become sharp as a knife
That's why I keep remembering Jesus words
I am the way! The truth and the Life

Reading

Each day I read I feel so proud
I'm not going to whisper, I'm saying it out loud
Reading so many different books
Has given me a perfect good outlook.
To reach out for a better understanding
Without the rough and harsh demanding
Reading a chapter each day and night
Makes understanding seem just right
Giving attention in order to hear
Preventing the feeling of any fear
Adjusting myself to reach my stride
So I'll always feel secure with pride

The Piano

Christians count their blessings every day
We never forget to stop and pray
Some people like sitting in a ball park bleacher
But I like visiting my music teacher
Making good sounds as soon as I start
Playing the piano from the depth of my heart

God's Holy Well

Please walk with me to the blessed well
We hear the sound of the beautiful church bell
Don't you worry or have any fear
Because our good Lord is always near
We'll drink holy water sitting under a tree
And listen to the hum of the working bee
After we rest we will play and run
It's always nice to have some fun
Then we'll go riding in my boat
Wearing our beautiful colorful coat
We'll never stop with a delay
Just keep on praising God for a blessed day
We've come to the end of a day so bright
Goodnight my love, "please turn out the lights"
