The Swimmer

the young swimmer swum
in the bobbing of the waves
her nubile body lapped into
the mouth of the sea
floating like a bubble in the water
her skin shimmered in the sunlight
while the ocean washed her
with its salt dew
and opened its heart
with the warmth of its waves
and the swimmer swum
in its homeland

A Poet's Creation

Poetic thoughts,
inspired by time
of which the pen ardently rhymes
and then, as an imaginary clock chimes
deep within the restless mind,
the hour of creativity climbs
and brings forth
the birth of words in kind.

The Quiet Music Of The Deaf

Near Grand Central Station
two women sign the deaf language
with gestering hands
in muted motions
oblivious
to the activity
of the thronging Christmas shoppers.
Santas cluster
ringing charity bells
in vertical rhythm
and
their noses
chilled crimson in frost
sniff street vendor coffee
steaming and spurting into foam cups.
The two women speak
in mirrored words
mouthed in quiet
from the harmony of their thoughts
as their faces express lighthearted smiles
brightening the evening shade
pausing momentarily
before parting into the midst
of the noise.
