I Am Free

The chains that bound are broken
No more the prison bars
That reached to smother and engulf me
With every passing day,
No more the sorrow or frustration
I have found a way.
I am free
And with my freedom comes
The dawning of a new day
With love, not bitterness, with hope
The strength to cope
I am free
No more the tears for things
That should have been
The barren years, the stunted growth
I see the world through different eyes
And say Welcome World
I am free

Lullaby Little One

Little One who lies beneath my breast,
I think of you with all the love,
As mother for her child.
Waiting in such sweet expectation,
Your body to caress,
I sit and dream of you,
With gentle smile.
Little one we must be calm
Although excitement quickens my
heart beat
Waiting has become such joy and yet
Mother nature says
Its time we meet.
Little one - you're here and as part of me,
I thrill with such emotion,
That I dare not speak
I raise my eyes to God in thanks
for this great miracle,
And welcome you with love and joy!
So sweet.
