Danielson, Connecticut

I like to write some words
For you biographically
About my past and present
And what it used to be
I was born a twin in nineteen twenty two
I finished school in forty one
And started something new
I did factory work a few years
To earn my weekly pay
Then I met a charming guy
He blessed my life each day
We dated steady for one year
And then we wed to stay
He spent time in the navy
Then returned back home to me
We have five children all grown up
We are together a happy family

Helping Others

If you do the best you can
You'll always be repaid
Good things come to those that wait
This is the law God made

So think about what you can do
To help somebody else
You'll be repaid in many ways
And be proud of yourself!!

My Puppy
(Written by Mary Reynolds in 1936)

He stands and wags his stubby tail
He even tears clothes from the rail
He eats the kittens' supper up
But after all he's just a pup.
He tears our stockings and bites our shoes
He even tears the daily news.
What would you do to bring him up
But after all he's just a pup.

1946 Christmas: What Christmas Means

Christmas day brings lots of cheer
To the children every year
And so grown-up folks as well
All the great glad tidings tell.

Our dear Lord was born this day
In a manger far away
With no pillow for his head
And no blanket for his bed.

Let us thank our Lord above
For his kindness and his love
And be thankful that we are
Born of Him our "Guiding Star"
.
