My name is Mary Lee Becker. I'm a widow since 1990. My husband always appreciated my music, my stories, and my poems. I used those a lot in my teaching. I began writing poems about 30 years ago, often the kind that little children would like. Often I set them to music, and the children could sing and gesture with them. I wanted to teach them a valuable lesson like lines, geometric patterns in space, values with children or animals. My poems have been published in books by the The National Library of Poetry, and in our local paper, the Southwest News Herald. |
