My Anchor To Reality

You're my anchor to reality
is what you always said,
We shared a love together
which blew everybody's head.
Ten years of ups and down
four more years of turnarounds,
But just like a cat our four
feet landed on the ground.
You're my anchor to reality
is what you always said
You'll always be with me,
you're always in my head.
Bonnie and Clyde are the names
my mother gave us,
So we played our parts.
The time we spent together
lingers in my heart,
Even though we grew apart.
The memories I will always
Cherish for they made me strong.

Three Night Stand

My husband, my man, my three night stand.
Forbidden fruit, that's what you are,
But yet my shining star.
What we shared, I try to forget,
But the feelings keep my love strong,
Although we both knew it was wrong.
The memories keep me going on,
My heart still hears our love song.
Then thoughts of us appear like a dream this past year,
How I wish you were still here
To dance that dance that brought us near.
The music I play continuously,
Holding on to my memories.
Someday, we'll be together again,
To share the love we once knew,
Because that love we share was true.
Friends always, is what we said.
This separation I truly dread,
For thoughts of you linger in my head.
My husband, my man, my three night stand.
