Chris started writing serious poetry as soon as high school was over. She worked her way through college and graduated nearly debt free from Michigan State University with high honors in English Education. Besides presenting numerous poems in written form, Chris has sung and read them before groups of up to 400 people. This year her first book of poetry should be coming forth. Meanwhile she considers herself an active full-gospel Christian, freelance social worker and political activist. What is for Christ lives! My poetry is for Jesus. |
The Face Of GodThe grandeur of GodIs like the purple on the mountain tops Regal in the golden sun. Its velveteen splendor
No one knows the beauty
I desire the thrill of autumn changes

He Is The King Of The JewsThe ointment was for My Redeemer. The tears were for His grave. The love I felt so within my spirit Was the new life that He gave. Each hammer blow was a cry of anguish
And a mother's heart to a brother given
But we soon all learned to the praise of heaven
