Being Metaphor

As Ombudsman
"being metaphor" bypasses
the limbic system
with its in-built trigger-reaction
function
in dealing with fear and fright
because it allows persons
to personify perceptions
other than their own
as seen from the many
different perspectives.

Nature sifts us
sky, land, water.
fire, wind, ice.
Then offers the choice:
hate...greed...malice...
or bridled love's chalice.

The Trick Of Illusion

like the bite on the apple
delicious juicy temptation
mouth-watering succulent delicacy
a treat
until the rot stench hits
then you know it's bad
and you've been had
The trick of illusion?
It's the inner hidden core of deception
covered over by the outer cosmetic
of enticement!

Wiseacre

If only we knew
what we know
when we would
We wouldn't.

But...
we don't
So we do.

Then...
we know
And wish we didn't

law-yer-are?

Hypothetical a situation
could give rise to feelings
circumstantial
moral implications
unrelated to the actual
dealings of the objective
but of the subjective belief system
violated.

Winter Vamps

shimmery
freshly iced
bony wings
poised in flight
the apple grove
sits on the hill
bat skeletons
frozen
still
