I started writing poems back in 1967, when I walk my dogs, they were my inspiration. Now I enjoy doing these poems. This keeps my mind clear. |
Our LandOne morning as I walked the dog,I spied a grouse upon a log. Then high up in a maple tree, I heard a happy chickadee. Then deep in the woods the blue jay calls. His song was so very shrill. Was then I saw a herd of deer, In the meadow from the hill. Then as we headed homeward, Which seemed to me like hours, I looked up and then thanked God, For this great land of ours. | Peace For A LifetimeThis is a special time of year. The 25th of December, So make this Christmas day. One that we'll all remember. A time for peace throughout the land. To nations far and wide, It's such a shame of all the death, And to those who have to hide. So lets join hands and live in peace, Our wounds will surely heal. To live in peace throughout the world, There is no better deal. |
