Cleveland, Ohio, USA

My name is Lula Taylor, I'm the single mother of three sons, Tim, Jim and Duane. The daughter of Lillian Beasley Meadows. A graduate of Trap Hill High School, Surveyor, West Va. Employed as a lead film librarian at a Cleveland Trauma Hospital. I write poetry to express my feelings for the people I love.

Always Love

On this beautiful day
As gently breezes blow
You my love could always be
I wonder if you know

As the breeze gently touches me
It's the warmth of you surrounding arms
In my thoughts--I dream it's you
keeping me safe from harm

If you would test the waters
To see my love is true
You would know my precious darling
I will always love you

Restless Dream

Each night when I lay down
My eyes close in restful sleep
I end up tossing and turning
For it's you I hold and weep
It's you I hug close to my heart
As I whisper tenderly
Of the only true love I feel
Is when you are near me
But the sadness that takes over
The loneliness that comes over me
When I open my eyes to see you
And realize you're only in my dreams

A Mother's Love

Remembering stories that she told me
As she put my hair in plaits
When I was but a child
Sitting on her lap
Lots of hugs and kisses
Instilled in a little girls heart
Surrounded by her love
Memories never forgot
A love that keeps me through the years
That's felt even though we're apart
Is returned to a dear sweet mother
I love with all my heart

Ties That Bind

Untied are the links that brought us together
So that each may be free
But as we go our separate ways
You shall always be with me

For the ties that bound our hearts
Unraveled in our flight
Strings that let us go our way
Will one day reunite

For no one strays from the ties that bind
It's embedded around our hearts
That one day soon you will return
And never again depart.
