Linda is a lover of the Performing Arts. Whether its music, poetry, paintings, sculptures, photography, or films, etc. But my passion is writing. I love to write short Sci-Fi stories, Creature or Horror stories, stories that could be developed for TV movies. But my favorites are short romance novels. And I have yet to have one read by an Editor, Publisher or a Literary Agent. So I turned to another way of expressing myself and my thoughts. I entered a poetry contest in Dec. 1994. for the National Library of Poetry (and writing a poem is something I hadn't done since my senior year of high school). The National Library of Poetry accepted and published my first poem "Angels Crossings" in Sept. of 1995. As for my poetry, it reflects my various moods and my versatility. My philosophy is "Reading soothes the soul and stimulates the senses." Personally, writing is a way I can help others to escape and to relieve some of the pressures and stress from day to day living (and this includes myself). I graciously applaud and thank The National Library of Poetry and The International Poetry Hall of Fame for their continuing interest in unknown poets like myself and for their efforts in bringing visual achievements to our work. |
