I have been writing poetry for about sixteen years. I am a Credit Coordinator for a Major Distribution Center. With poetry published in numerous publications, including The National Library of Poetry, as well as a Chapbook, titled "Collected Poems by Linda L. Jet". (3) Editor's Choice Awards, (5) Honorable Mentions, (2) Professional Reading Cassettes of one of my poems and an article in a local paper. A completed manuscript which is dedicated to my husband and two daughters. My dream is to one day have a complete publication of my poetry for everyone to enjoy.

The Ring On His Finger This is more than just a symbol of love It's a symbol of friendship A symbol fo devotion A symbol of security. It's a symbol of trust, faith, and loyalty A symbol of sharing and giving, a partnership A symbol of WILLINGNESS TO GO THROUGH LIFE'S TRAILS TOGETHER. It's a symbol of acceptance of one another A symbol of respect A symbol of support in what ever you do. It's a symbol of promises to be kept...

GOD'S PRECIOUS MIRACLE You were given to us a little soon than we expected You were wanted and loved even before you arrived Ready to take on what ever came your way You're one of God's precious miracles. You didn't weigh very much when you arrived Having to fight every step of the way One thing after another came upon you every day You're one of God's precious miracles You've over come this milestone, only to face another Eyes opening to see all around you Wondering what's going on You're one of God's precious miracles. Heart rates are dipping Your lungs collecting fluid Tugging at our hearts for love You're one of God's precious miracles. Holding you in our arms Giving you the love you seek Letting you know we're there You're one of God's precious miracles. Seeing you improve with each passing day Knowing you're one step closer to coming home Never forgetting to thank God Because you're one of God's precious miracles.

MORE THAN JUST A MEMORY Although you've been gone for quite some time It seems like only yesterday you were standing by my side Still able to feel you taking my hand to show me the way Guiding me through life's trials Those special moments we've shared together The softness of your voice calling my name The gentleness of you arms wrapped around me in comfort Wiping away the tears in my eyes Taking away all the sadness The brightness of your smile when you enter your room Showing the warmth that's in your heart Your kindness shown to everyone around you Seeing the time that was spent helping another Never thinking of just yourself The gift of love that will always bind us together.
