Linda Cooper Batchelor

Clinton, Maryland, USA

I strive for total inner peace; to find good in the most tragic situations. The strength I gain when dealing with adversity only makes me stronger for the next challenge life is sure to offer. I find contentment in the quiet times alone when I can escape into my writing and for the moment make life just the way I want it to be. I was born in South Carolina and currently reside in Maryland. "God, through His infinite wisdom, endowed me with creativity that I may share His blessing with you . . . for this I thank Him. For allowing me to share His blessing with you . . . for this I thank you."

Silent Prayer

As the sun peers through my window,
with the dawn of another day.
there is so much I need to tell You,
but right now I'm too frustrated and
confused to pray.
There are many things I need to tell you,
that have been lingering in my heart,
but the words just won't come;
so, where do I start?
I will reach out my hand to you Lord,
for I know I will find you standing there;
Maybe the answers I seek today,
can be found only through
deep meditation and silent prayer.

The Child

A baby dies.
A mother cries.
Then she sighs.
She wonders why
A void can't be filled
The only explanation.
"It must be God's will."

After The Storm: A Rainbow Waits For You

After the storm; a rainbow waits for you.
If it were not for the struggles; how would we ever learn
to endure.
After the wind, thunder and rain; be very sure the sun will
shine again.
After life's battles and up hill climbs; things will level
out if you only give it time.
