Perishable Things

So many chase after so many perishable things
That cause strife and many heartaches
brings
But first we should seek the kingdom of God
We ar never to satan's tricks to give an ok nod

for he has many clever ways as a disguise
Who wants a loser that is perishable prize
He's been a loser that is perishable prize
He's been a loser from his first competition
Now really do you want to get in that position

Satan has nothing that's valuable this or any day
I'd rather follow one that's truth knows the way
Yes one whose life that was based on true love
As He came form God's home of heaven above

May each never strive for the perishable things
So they may listen to heavenly choir as it sings
Oh what joy to be one of heaven coveted treasures
It will bring Heavenly Father very much pleasure.

A Mother

A mother is one that thinks of others' needs
For she will look for and do kind deeds
She not only loves her own, also others
Thank God for them, no matter whose mother

She will take daily life as it comes along
For her life is truly a beautiful love song
Friends as you have yours here with you today
Love her and honor her in a very special way.

Class in Session

As I got my coffee and doughnut one day
Noticed in another room class was under way
Although could not hear what was in session
As I listened to questions after questions

You see grandma was the instructor of class
Of granddaughters what was used and to pass
I'm sure these lasses will know how to do it
When they make cherry pie, they don't use the pit

Oh if more grandma's and mother's took the time
To show little ones many ways to stretch a dime
Yes to receive a blessing one day at a time
And see the results to ring their heart's chime.

Heart Retuned

Use to hear happy laughter of children at play
Must someone's love went sour and drove them away
Wonder what their life was when they were a child
Could it been one very haphazard and truly wild

Must go where a child is to have my heart retuned
Knowing their love and smiles will close the wound
Their faith and trust will ring my hearts chimes
When they say I love you papa and a hug sometimes
They tell me everything, always what they have new
Friend hope this true love can come to you and you
Yes a touch of heaven we can have here below
They will tune your heart and make it glow.
