I have been writing poetry since elementary school. I am currently teaching Special Education for the St. Paul School system. I am also a part-time recording artist and lyricist. My poetry has been published by The National Library of Poetry. Many of my unpublished poems have been re-written to harmonize along with music. The collection of poems and songs is called, "Take The Song Inside of You & Let if Flow Like a Roaring Ocean." The collections of poems and songs will appear on an album entitled "Dejavudoo Love" meaning: take heed to bad warnings and stop them with peace! |
There I WasSitting in the midst of nowhereI was actually in my apartment but didn't recognize it as such I've been here; in the midst of this place before I just know it, but can't prove it Once before; quite sometime ago, a voice spoke to me My mind pondered, wandered and wondered I heard a voice say, "I love you." I heard it say, "Love!" As usual, I ignored it Seven years has gone by There I was Standing at the midst of an altar Actually, I was in a music store My mind pondered, wandered and wondered A voice said, "It's going to be alright." It was powerful yet gentle Smitten by its sound It virtually knocked to my knees My mouth gaped with eyes dried out At that point I knew what was happening All cried out! Oh how I cried to the brink of exhaustion In my mind I was experiencing dejavudoo dejavudoo: Flashes of warnings about a taboo ritual on how we seek love the wrong way. Dejavudoo causes us to straighten up our lives. Desperate inclinations can cause one to block the incarnation of love So remember if you ever experience dejavudoo love Just do good Do well Love, peace, and happiness will prevail! |
