Martinsville, Indiana

Kim’s full name is Kimberly Anne Ferguson. She was born July 14, 1981 in Martinsville, Indiana. She started writing poems at age 8. Her first poem was published by the National Library of Poetry while she was in Junior High. Kim is a vegetarian and an animal lover. She enjoys dangerous activities. For example, five days before she turned 15, she and her best friend went bungee jumping. For her 18th birthday, she wants to go skydiving. Her motto is, “You only live once, so don’t waste it. Live it up. Take your chances because you may only get one.”

I Have a House

I live in a house,
with a mouse.
I have a bat,
That likes my cat.
I have a pig,
Who likes to dig.
I have a house,
All I need is a spouse.

School Time

Some of your classes might be boring,
But don’t you dare get caught snoring.
Get your homework done,
Then go out and have some fun.
Go out and party all night long,
But don’t forget your report on ping-pong.
There is only one solution to it all,
Get your homework done in study hall.
So when it’s time for school
Be cool.
Don’t be a fool.

My Mother

My mother means a lot to me.
I hope everyone can see.
I love my mother,
And so does my brother,
Because she is a great person,
And a lot of fun.
She works a lot but that’s ok,
Cause we still have time to play.
Her name is Melody and she eats meat.
She is nice and very sweet.
Even though she sometimes tells me no,
I will always love her so.
She’s my mother,
And I can always hug her.
Because she means a great deal to me,
I could never hate her,
Can’t you see?
