I began writing at a young age and quickly discovered my heart lay within poetry. It wasn't until my secondary education, I met English tutor Mr. Trevor Roff - who taught me to explore my talent and realize the limitless possibilities (Thanks Sir!) "There are no limits, only plateaux." Wise words from a great man who inspired millions with his philosophy. Jun Fan - or Bruce Lee to you and I - a man whom I have great respect and admiration for and who has taught me to be the best I can be - and then to go a little further ...

Love: Part One

I wonder -
If you, like me, found the nights filled with constant sorrow.
I wonder -
If you, like me, wished for the dawning of tomorrow.
I wonder -
If your mind, was filled by thought of me.
I wonder -
If your shattered heart - still held our memory.
How to be blinded by confusion;
that amid my cascade of fears -
My mind and heart forgotten;
the one who shed my tears.

Excerpt from Love: Part Two

.... sometimes when darkness fell -
I'd feel your touch that wasn't there.
And the times when I got lonely -
I'd think of how you used to care ...

Excerpt from Love: Part Three

... Your eyes, they told a story,
Of all the times you'd cried -
And how you didn't understand,
No matter how you tried
.... You and I, we sentenced love,
Without committing any crime -
And now, once more together,
You see - it can't rain all the time.

Excerpt from Love: Part Four

They say the world's a stage -
On which we all must play a part.
Which is you - the man of wisdom?
Or the fool, with captured heart?
Time is said to be a healer,
But healing is an art.
Eternity could not rectify,
The incision in my heart.

Excerpt from "Shattered Reflections"

We used to have a special place,
My best friend and I.
Where by the lake we'd sit and watch
Twilight steal across the sky.
... But dreams are often shattered
and turbulence is stirred -
Where violence breaks serenity,
with every harsh and bitter word.
