Ken enjoys writing poetry for special events for his friends and loved ones. A former Superintendent of Schools and High School English teacher, he presently serves as Executive Director for the Pinellas County of Osteopathic Medical Society. Ken is a member of the International Society of Poets and was recognized by the society as a "Poet of Merit". He is an active member of his church where he serves as Lay Leader. His poetry has been published in several magazines, nwesletters and by the National Library of Poetry. Writing poetry gives me great satisfaction because it brings happiness to others. |
Remember JesusWhen you're going through tough times,and you feel down and out, When there seems to be no hope And you just want to shout, Remember Jesus! If life seems to treat you unfair, And you have nowhere to turn, When everything that's around you Seems to leave you forlorn, Remember Jesus! When your friends and family Look at you with eyes full of scorn, And they turn away from you Leaving you with a heart that is torn, Remember Jesus! When it seems that all is lost Just take a moment to look at the cross, For He died to save you my friend, So don't fret and worry, all is not lost, Just remember Jesus! | I Thank God For YouBecause you bring such joy to me,And a love that is so deep. A smile that brings me happiness, And a love I want to keep. I thank God for You! Because when I'm down and almost out, Your love guides me through. And if I get too depressed, It seems you know just what to do. I thank God for You! Because my problems sometimes overhelm me, Your gentle touch and warm embrace Give me the strength to carry on, When I see the sunshine in your face. I thank God for You! Because you mean all the world to me, And we share a special bond. To love each other every day And never let each other down. I thank God for you! |
