Kelly has been writing poetry for several years now. She is an Administrative Assistant for Liberty Insurance Agency, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Most of her work so far has been inspired by family members. All her award winning poems have been published. She would like to thank God for giving her this creative heart-felt talent that she loves so much. Also, a great thanks to her family and friends for just being there. Her wish is for her poetry to "touch the hearts of others and perhaps give them peace of mind too."

My Child

I knew from the start
I would love you with all my soul and heart
As you grew, I just knew
You were special.....
Something went wrong
You changed your mind
You decided you didn't want to be born now
Words can not describe
The emptiness I feel inside
I just hope and pray that some day
You will decide to come my way
And Mommy can love you
All over again......

The Middle Child

When you look up, you will see the eldest
When you look down, you will see the youngest
And I will be in the middle
You would think I would be seen the most.....
But, I feel like the forgotten one
I am not the oldest, and get to do things first
I am not the youngest, who is cute as can be
I am the one stuck in the middle!!!!!!
So where does that leave me?
I am important too, hear my cry
They may be temper tantrums
They may be withdrawals
But please do not ignore?
For I too need to be loved
I'm also a child of yours.......

Old Soul

I knew from the very start
he was born with his great-grandfathers heart
As he grow into a little boy
More and more I see
That little old man again
Happy as can be .........

Two

Today I turn two
Wondering what should I do
Now I can walk
And learning how to talk
I have developed some speed
Where mommy can't catch me
They say these are the terrible two's
But I don't think this is true
Because I am so lovable
And always will be
I'm going to enjoy this year
Until I become three.
