I have been writing poetry for about 5 years. I credit the Lord for my ability and talent in writing; and I can credit my family for their support. I am blessed with a great Husband, one daughter, one grandson, and one granddaughter. I have several poems published. I have 11 Merit Award Certificates, 4 Golden Poet awards, and one of several trophies, I could of ordered. Because of my grandson having Leukemia, I now raise money for the Leukemia Society of N.C. I also work in local business: sewing... "I truly love writing poetry"

She leaves her mark behind!

Mother gave us things
that Dad would never give,
For all her little Children
is the reason that she lives.
Mother gave us love
twas all that she had,
And gave it so extremely
unlike the love from Dad.
Mother often said
the Lord has blessed her so,
And she would always tell it
no matter where she'd go.
To know this precious Mother
one we've loved so much,
Will know our Generations
will often feel her touch
That's the kind of Mother
that'll leave her mark behind,
To always love each other
and to all, be extra kind....

I knew the reason why!

When our baby got real sick
I never did ask why,
I said Dear Lord your will be done
if he should live or die.
His body started healing
and for joy I did cry,
I know I never asked
for I knew the reason why....

That Someone!

Sometimes I think my problems
I'll handle on my own,
And then I feel defeated
helpless and alone.
But someone told me Jesus
would help me from on high,
They said he wouldn't mind
he's just that kind of guy.
Why would someone help me
a stranger so it seemed,
But then they told me Jesus
is a Savior and a King.
That someone told me Jesus
That he's the very best,
And if I trusted Jesus
he'd also give me rest.
Thanks to that kind someone
said " Jesus is the way",
Always, I know my problems
he'll take care of if I pray.......
