Kathy Garrett

Paducah, Kentucky

She stunned everyone when she sang the Big E at the Executive Inn in Paducah. She grew up in Paducah Kentucky. Her parents Howard and Rosie Garrett had eight children, she was the middle child. She went to McKinley grade, D.T. Cooper, Jetton Jr. High. Carolyn was a inspiration in her writing, a city driver, school teachers. Nancy was the first to keep her writing she is sure. She wanted to sing and write with her heart and soul. Writing came naturally to her, a pen in her hand was like magic. She wanted the world to read her and a lot did, and learned her magical heart and ways and reading it. She had her silly girlish moment with her friends, with life. She wonders, just sits and wonders why, she's like this. She always had questions and more questions, this was Kathy girl. She had a flowers in her hair, in her heart. The way to her was words, lots of pretty words. She was a pretty rose, that needed to be smelled time and time again.

Kathy's Poem

She dreamed a dream like a pretty red rose. She must have thought it up first She comes on like a dream, peaches and cream. She were diamonds in her smile, and colorful moment. She tasted life so, it took your breath away. Cause after all color is her and her lovely heart, She was and is a dream in the making , maybe more than a pretty rose or just another rose.

Kathy's Poetry

She was a perfectionist gal
a adored gal.
A rainbow moment after another.
She had true color, true grit, and a true heart.
She ran through a meadow, like a angel in the sky.
She had colorful questions to ask, like a colorful heart so lovely
She adored magic all her life, she loved magical fairy tales.
She loved walking around rainbows, she loved clowns,
Her heart was a clown.
She is and always was, a Alice walking through the looking glass.
She just wanted you to follow her heart,
She's alive come on and follow her.
Someday my heart can be as musical as me.
