Kathleen C. Gibson

Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania

Kathleen Gibson was born in Canterbury, England. When she was three, her family came to America and lived in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where she grew up. They moved once again to a Philadelphia suburb, and Kathleen attended Frankford High School. After graduation she took a two year course at the Berte Fashion Academy. Her first job was with Frey and Sheridan, a well known clothing manufacturer, as a designer assistant. At night she went to the Charles Morris Price School and took a course in poetry and advertising. For many years she owned and operated a dress shop in Lewes, Delaware and later in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. She is a freelance poet, and has been published in many magazines and newspapers.

Fullblown

I'm not to blame if I never lose weight,
Though I dieted for six centennials.
So why should I groan or bemoan my cruel fate?
All my blooming' taste buds are perennials!

Romantics

Romantics are filled with consternation,
When told love's a question of location
In time, grown wiser, they know defeat,
Crying, "How can you love one you never meet?"

Equal Time

If true, "Time heals all wounds", one feels,
Then, time should also wound all heels.

My Knight Errant

If my love for thee counts for nought,
Perchance a short knight twill enthrall.
"Tis better to have loved a short,
Than never to have loved a tall.

Stroke of Genius

The so-called music,
From heavy metal and hard rock,
To booming blasts of boogie-woog.
could it be heard by Sebastian Bach,
He would really blow a fugue!
