Karen Ely Thiele

Karen has been a writer, poet, producer, and a speaker most of her life. In 1939, she was one of six accepted of 360 Auditions at the Chekhov Theatre Studio, Conn. In the 1940's, she published a book of essays & poems Arise & Shine. In the 1950's, she wrote script, composed music / Lyrics for Musical - 26 numbers - 5 called sure hits by top producers in Broadway & Hollywood. In the 1960's, she was a producer and singer in Harmony Hill Showcase, Phoenix. Karen created Harmony Hill Life Center, gave "Talks on Life"; and shared after overcoming terminal illness "naturally". The National Library of Poetry has published in four anthologies, one in Best Poems of the 90's. She is a Distinguished Member of The International Society of Poets. Karen has a son, a daughter, and six grandchildren.

When you let your heart speak I speak -- Listen!
I am the voice -- the still small voice of your heart... just Listen
I am the voice of one, not two, crying in the wilderness
of your earthbound, entangling, imprisoning thoughts.
I am here now... Listen!

I am come to you --- Listen!
Oh, earth enshrouded voices, earth enshrouded choices
BE GONE
Won't you hear, won't you hear... won't you hear?
Will you Listen... and Listen... then... Listen?

Silence the Gongs of Despair dear heart
Silence the Thoughts of Dismay
Relax the tensions. Relax the brain
The World gone mad and in such disarray
You are still --- I am here --- and you Listen ---

From out the depths of the soul of Me
The power of such silence melts misery
You're dissolved in a New Identity
You have heard -- and you know -- yes, Now you See
You have Listened --- Life is New --- and You are Free!

Look Up! Look Up!

Don't just sit there stewing -- Look Up!
New life -- new love -- new thoughts are brooding
I come from another brighter sphere
One of laughter, love, joy and cheer.
Spark up, lift up, arise from fear!
Your heart's been answered --- I am here --- Look Up!

Don't just lie there looking down
In the blindness you've been following
You've been struggling, drowning,
Wallowing, Wallowing - in Heaviness, grief, defeat, despair
Stand up! Get up! lift your thoughts into bright, clean air!
Halt the weeping! Stop the crying! All that gravity ends in dying
Now let your heart burst out in its shout for Life
Everythings new --- It's down with strife -
Everything's new in loving life --- your life's anew with Life more Life!

Look up! Look up! Let me enfold you now in wings of Light --- Take Flight!
Let that which is past be finished and gone
I am with you forever --- your heart's singing My song
Lookup! Look up! and you will see - your life's unfolding in My lifes Trinity
