Emerald Garden
In Northern Erin

True,
Eden is my emerald garden set
cozy in old Antrim's Northern Erin
In endless delight, my eyes behold
the quiet rose and dancing
daffodils;  The snow-white daisies,
and shy primrose, all
hiding behind a screen of
verdant ferns, and
O'er my head, oh bless my soul!
Acacia blooms like comely
Primavera, plaiting
golden braids in
her fragrant
wind-blown hair!

Prelude to Octoberfest

Softly, softly, float
liquid amber leaves and maple, on
Autumn's languid golden air,
Prelude to Octoberfest upon
the village green
Where are the winsome bright checked
lads and lasses,
costumed and holding hands?
Waiting, waiting now, for
jolly concertina and
deep voiced oompa-pa!
Waiting, waiting now, for
whirling waltz and polka!

Desert Ambrosia
Treasure Out of Sight

Have you ever strolled on
shoe crunching desert sand,
Where stars sparkle against
deep velvet night, and a
full moon, all golden and glowing,
rolls silently by?
Where intoxication comes
all giddy and glorious, from
Wild verbena fragrance
perfuming the air,
Hidden enchantment from
far flung purple dunes,
Unforgettable loveliness on an
eternal springtime night
Desert Ambrosia
Treasure out of sight!
