Sussex , UK

I was born on 6th June 1941. I married a wonderful man called Malcolm on the 3rd August 1957 when I was just 16 years old. We have eight children and seventeen grandchildren. We celebrate our Ruby Anniversary in August this year. My family gives me all the inspiration I need to write my poems.

Mum

The angels said darling its time
To let go
Come with us and we will show
All of the good things you wanted
To know,
They say there's life in heaven and
That is surely true especially for
A treasured one especially one like you,
You'll only meet the good up here we
only take the best,
He only takes the very best and that
is surely true
Because mum he took the very best the
Day that we lost you.

Hard Up

I'm oh so fed up being this skint
I wish I knew how to make me a mint,
I've tried all the tricks which say get
Rich quick the money I've wasted makes
Me quite sick,
Bills - bills - bills is all I get
I will have to go on the internet.

Little Rabbit

Hey there little rabbit why you look
so glum
Has that freezing carrot froze your
Little tum?
It's like a freeze box way out here
in this field so white
So why you eating carrots in the middle
of the night?
You cannot sleep sleep I'm not surprised
You must be freezing cold
And by the look of your small feet
You can't be very old,
Now run along back home to mum
Before she comes a looking
And if you are a good good boy
You will have some real home cookin.
