Julie Hall

Auburn, Nebraska

I have been writing poetry since I was thirteen years old and I have had a lot of encouragement from my grandma and my aunt to keep on writing. I am a mother of six children and I have been married for ten years. I am thirty-one years old. I have been writing for the Library of Poetry since last year. I have one poem published, "Grandma", and two poems to be published. "Paradise and "At Peace " I hope to have many more published in the future. I have two pen names: Julie Georges Hall and Julie Hall.

GRANDMA

She was always up at the crack of dawn
I can remember how her eyes would slowly
Close when she would yawn
I can still see her sitting in that old
Rocking chair
Rocking away all her cares
Grandma as you rest in peace
My love for you will never cease
Oh! How I wish you were still here
To rock away all my tears
Even though you went away
I strive to make it through another day
So that I too may rock my cares away.
