Juanita Derringer Dayton, Ohio

Juanita's poetry writing began in the 1950's. She is a lover of God and nature, having married a farmer. Often during church services, she reads her poetic offerings. Finally a booklet of her works was put together. It held her poems and later she had them published in the World of Poetry and the National Library of Poetry. In a plaque she received, it was noted that she had become a Lifetime Member of International Society of Poets because of her offerings of that society's principles. Today her poetic works have moved to The International Hall of Fame Museum, and Juanita is elated!

GOD'S WORKSHOP God molds and sculptures, tints and blends, The soul created, to earth descends. A place is waiting for it to grow, Good thoughts to nurture, good seeds to sow. God waits to guide it along its way. The time's so short for it to stay. He follows it from place to place, To caution, should it fall from grace. God's ever near it it comes to pain, Or to inspire high goals to gain; For like tis Maker, it should become, Before it's beckoned on back home.

OUR SUFFERING SAVIOUR God made the tree which was destined to be The cross of the Saviour of humanity. God laid out the plan whereby man would be free But Jesus denounced, went to old Calvary. God bads his dear Son to traverse the way Though Jesus, in torment, cringed from it that day. He suffered the pain, the shame and the sin For mankind's return unto God, once again.

PEACE Our windows for peace Should shine with God's love Whose powers don't cease On earth and above. His realm is the world; His love shines throughout If we would but herald This truth will a shout! God's message of love Is meant for all sects World, open your doors And explore all the texts That are meant for mankind Who treads this great earth So shout God's expressions ! That nurture self-worth.
